Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) Test

GGT test is required to study the condition of liver cells. Elevated GGT levels may be found in liver disease, alcoholism, obesity, bile-duct obstruction and drug abuse. Decreased levels can be found in hypothyroidism, hypothalamic malfunction and very low levels of magnesium.
